Roles and Responsibilities

- Implement, maintain and operate the Group project control framework within Paques Europe region and its direct affiliated companies / subsidiaries;

-Identify key turning-points to increase EBIT, such as order intake, GM, OpEx and project result;

-Monitor closely with the Manager Project Management the variations occurring in the project execution and enforce solving thereof in the MT meetings;

-Incentive and enforce the MT Europe to sign contracts that benefit payables and minimize risks;

-Deliver a risk control policy for Paques Europe to be enforced in contract review;

-Prepare and deliver monthly analysis to the MD on key parameters of the balance sheet, a.o. revenue rate, GM changes, inventory (raw material) levels changes, work in progress;

-Deliver a monthly cash cycle analysis for Europe and manage cash cycle with the Manager Project Management;

-Pro-active involvement in regional strategy in order to advice regional management on financial policy and financial risks at short and mid-long term;

-Manage the Paques Europe planning & control process, including budget, reporting and forecasting;

-Manage and cooperate with external auditors, brokers, insurance companies and bankers;

-Handle project accounting & controlling, including contract reviews on financial risks and project cash flow management.

Requirements

- University level of education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration;
- At least 5 years’ experience in a complex, rapidly developing multinational organization, preferably in capital goods with project control exposure;
- Thorough knowledge of financial drivers and the Percentage of Completion method for accounting revenues and expenses of long-term contracts;
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Strong attention to details, math proficiency;
- Capable of executing high profile risk management;
- Expert in accounting & financial analysis software (including database interfaces) and Excel;
- Pro-active, structured working style and the ability to remain focused on goals in a complex environment combined with a ‘getting-things-done’ mentality;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, lead, coach and develop others;
- Fluent in English and in Dutch (verbally and in writing).
