Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and operate the Group project control framework based on the Group strategy;
• Develop, discuss and implement new global monthly reporting standards;
• Provide regularly insight to management on key issues based on KPI’s, benchmarking, financial risks etc.;
• Incentive and enforce the Management Team Europe to sign contracts that benefit payables and minimize risks;
• Deliver a risk control policy for Paques Europe to be enforced in contract review;
• Deliver a monthly cash cycle analysis for Europe and manage cash cycle with the Manager Project Management;
• Secure implementation and maintain Capex control and proactively support on Opex optimization;
• Manage the Paques Europe planning & control process, including budget, reporting and forecasting;
• Manage and cooperate with external auditors, brokers, insurance companies and bankers;
• Handle project accounting & controlling, including contract reviews on financial risks and project cash flow management.
• Manage stakeholders in the global ERP roll-out and support Global Process Finance and Controlling
• Ensure Group Compliance.


• University level of education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration;
• At least 5 years’ experience in a complex, rapidly developing multinational organization, preferably in capital goods with project control exposure;
• Thorough knowledge of financial drivers and the Percentage of Completion method for accounting revenues and expenses of long-term contracts;
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Strong attention to details, math proficiency;
• Expert in accounting & financial analysis software (including database interfaces) and Excel;
• Pro-active, structured working style and the ability to remain focused on goals in a complex environment combined with a ‘getting-things-done’ mentality;
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, lead, coach and develop others;
• Fluent in English and in Dutch (verbally and in writing).
